Get to know more about me
Hey there - thanks for dropping by! I'm Troy, a Learning Experience Designer and a tech geek based in Sydney, Australia. Originally, from the Central Coast, I now live in the big city with my fiancé and cat, Bailey. I am also a #lover of music and an avid explorer with a deep sense of curiosity.
I've been developing digital learning solutions for almost a decade. My career began in tourism where I worked at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games, The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in Banff, Canada and upon return to Australia, at Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours. As time progressed, I began shifting to become an Instructional Designer. Today, I help businesses achieve their goals and overcome challenges with complete digital learning experiences. I'm lucky to combine my passions of travel, learning, design, and technology into one. During my time in the field of Learning and Development, I've worked across a range of organisations. Big and small. Local and Global. Reaching across industries such as banking, customer service, education, hospitality, and travel.
I am a believer of life-long learning. To that end, I'm constantly seeking opportunities to grow and develop. Today, I hold a Diploma in Training, Design & Development from RMIT and a Graduate Certificate in eLearning from the University of New England. In 2020, I participated in "The Show" as part of The Learning Conference and was selected as one of the Learning 30 under 30 aspiring learning leaders, as part of the Learning 2020 Conference.
I love researching emerging technologies and tools, creating mock-ups, and developing learning solutions using an array of technologies. My toolbox consists of tools such as the Articulate 360 suite, 7Taps, Vyond, GlideApps, and A-Frame VR. Hop on over to my blog to explore tools that I am testing out, tutorials, resources, and my own journey in the field of Learning and Development.
