The Show - Second Submission

As you know, I'm currently competing in The Learning Conference’s “The Show” - where 64 participants battle against each other to win the Best Learning Designer Award.

We're onto our second round, so let's take a look at what our second brief saw us creating!

The Brief

This brief is from a not for profit organisation named LGBT Collective who want a solution made for their team to up-skill them on health, wellbeing and resilience.

This solution had some key requirements such as a tight budget ($5,000), requiring no learning management system and something which could be implemented straight away.

Our proposals should cover three key questions, and of course, the project specs from the client. The three key questions were;

What would your solution include?

This solution uses which is designed as an information portal called HEALTH.Collective for the employees of the LGBT Collective. The portal is responsive to any device, ensuring employees can access the content - whenever and wherever they are.

This solution leverages Voiceflow to create an intuitive and personalised user-driven voice-experience (VX) named Carly, without code. Carly is designed to deliver just-in-time-learning, reminders, courses and relaxation sessions to the employees of LGBT Collective via Alexa and Google Assistant.

Furthermore, scope exists to leverage the A-Frame source code (zero cost) to create virtual reality (VR) experiences housed within to illustrate online classes such as pilates and yoga, further focusing on health and wellbeing.

Why is this solution the best option for the client?

LGBT Collective is a self-described forward-thinking organisation with a small budget and are looking for a solution which is 'outside-the-box' whilst not utilising an LMS.

The solution makes use of emerging technology to introduce Carly by HEALTH.Collective who is a conversational, friendly and personable coach accessible via Alexa and Google Assistant. Carly strives to ensure the team at LGBT Collective are well-informed about health, wellbeing and resilience - even providing built-in meditation sessions. She is accessible 24/7, across any device for the team at LGBT Collective, providing access to health, wellbeing and resilience learning anytime.

The power of this solution is in the accessibility and personalised approach to deliver learning to empower LGBT Collective employees to enhance their health, wellbeing and resilience to better serve their customers.

How would it be implemented?

By using and Voiceflow, LGBT Collective can implement this solution to the Alexa Developer console and Google Actions console, allowing for immediate release and distribution - all without a Learning Management System (LMS). can also be developed to act as a repository, allowing call-backs by Carly to resources and other essential information.
